Restoring More Than Equipment: A Win for Mission Readiness
Jacksonville, FL- When a critical piece of equipment went down, operations at DRP-024 (Depot Repair Point) faced a serious challenge. With no working industrial 20K forklift capable of lifting 20,000 pounds available, and no quick replacement through normal government channels, the team needed a fast solution.
That solution came through the expertise and dedication of Mr. Christian Arbeen and the DRP-024 team.
A 20K forklift sourced from the Defense Material Reutilization Office (DRMO) had already been written off as beyond repair. But where others saw a loss, Arbeen saw potential. Drawing on more than 32 years of experience in corrosion control and painting, he got to work restoring the forklift from the ground up.
Through skill, precision, and persistence, Arbeen and the team successfully restored the forklift to full operational status, turning a discarded asset into a mission-ready tool. Their efforts ensured critical operations continued without disruption while saving significant costs and avoiding lengthy delays.
Site supervisor Michael Falco said, “The team's proactive problem-solving and perseverance reflect great credit upon themselves, their unit, and are in keeping with the finest traditions of government service.”
This accomplishment is a testament to Arbeen’s craftsmanship and commitment to the mission. It is also a powerful reminder that behind every successful operation are teams and experts like Arbeen who go above and beyond.
